By the Grace of God

Most Generous God, because of the favor and high esteem with which You hold Your people, I am blessed with an abundance of Your grace.  You are my provider and protector and will not withhold it from me so long as I walk uprightly with You.  You’ve promised to give me the desires of my heart if I remain faithful to do all that You ask of me.  You have given me the benefit of Your light to guide me … Your favor to supply all of my needs … and, Your strength to help me persevere in trying times.  Through Your grace, I am enabled to face my problems head on.  You are not mindful of how great I am in the eyes of the world, for I am small and insignificant … but, You use people like me, whose life is embedded in Yours, to confound those who think they are powerful and wise.  I am convinced that whoever finds You … finds life … and favor … and grace.

It is through Your blessing me with mercy and grace that I am made rich … sheltered from unbearable sorrow … freed from the fear of the unknown … and, given hope to persevere.  If I choose to stand against the temptations of sin, You give me the grace to achieve victory over its best efforts.  I am confident in the knowledge that I find favor with You and can count on Your loving mercy for the strength and comfort that I need.  As I dedicate myself to the furtherance of Your Kingdom, I believe You will provide me with the grace I need to achieve whatever it is that You send me to do.  I know that the life I live in the flesh, and the spirit, is sustained through Your love, mercy and grace … and I will always find them waiting whenever I seek Your help.  In drawing closer to You, I am able to bask in Your love … become refreshed by Your mercy … and, revel in the joy experienced in Your grace.

As an heir of salvation, I am also an heir of grace.  And, grace is the power that sets me free from sin and death because of my choice to accept You as the atonement for my sins.  For it is by Your grace and my faith in You that salvation has been given as a gift to me.  I can now see that You are holy and righteous and sin is totally offensive to You.  Therefore, until the impact of sin is eliminated in my life, grace does not have the freedom to revive my life.  As a consequence of my choice to accept You and make You the center of my life, Your grace provides safety and preservation despite my imperfections.  Grace is the power that perfects and enables me to do the things my flesh cannot accomplish.  It is through the miraculous working of grace that I am made dead to sin and alive to You.  Therefore, I gladly acknowledge that all I am is by the grace of God.  And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray.  AMEN!!

Psalm 84:11 For the Lord God is sun and shield; the Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.
