My Diligent Shepherd, You provide all of the knowledge, wisdom and guidance I need to live according to Your Word and will. To be successful, I must trust You and listen to every word You speak throughout my life. You know what has gone on in the past, what is going on now and what is to come. And the wonderful thing about You is that You are willing to freely share with me the things I need to know and be an overcomer. If I allow You to take the lead, You are willing to take my hand and show me the way to go. There are times in my life where I need to hear from You and receive Your guidance. I need Your help in making decisions and ordering my next steps. The matter at hand which needs Your input is not the most pressing thing … whether I am listening and willing to do what You say is. I rejoice in the fact that I do not serve a God who is not interested in my life nor leaves me alone to figure things out.
No matter what decisions I must make today, I know that You are with me and Your guidance will prove invaluable. You have all the answers for every aspect of my life. I know I will lead a life pleasing to You if I listen to Your voice and plug in to Your wisdom. The key to following Your lead is trusting You with all my heart and not relying on my own reasoning. For You to direct my path, I must put my faith in You and Your words. You have promised to teach me the way to go and You have assured me that You will watch over me along the way. If I choose to align my will with Yours, I believe my path will be filled with many blessings. If I take Your hand and follow willingly, I will be shown the better way to whatever it is that I am striving for. Whenever I turn to the right or the left, I will listen for Your voice saying to me “this is the way to walk.”
You have openly shared Your wisdom with me through the scriptures and they have brought me … freedom from stress, strength when I was weary, and understanding when I have decisions to make. If I pay attention and listen carefully to Your wise counsel, I will learn discernment and make good choices. I ask that You direct my steps so that I will make good decisions whether the circumstances are large or small. Give me ears to hear when You speak to me. Give me the courage to trust You with all my heart and acknowledge You in everything I do. Guide me and help me walk in Your will. I ask for discernment regarding Your truth and help with acting on it wisely. When I seek Your guidance on issues and situations I face, come quickly to show me the right path to take. I appreciate the guidance You have given me to help me be successful. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
