Most Glorious Savior, You have washed me in the blood flowing from the wounds that saved me. You were the sacrifice offered in my place. You are the stone rejected by the builders who has become the cornerstone of the church and my life. You have been my strong support and provided the strength to help me overcome my struggles. Your goodness never fails and there is nothing that I lack. I have willingly given myself to You and I will always be Yours. With gentle care You have guided me and brought me to places of rest. If I ever drift away from Your side, with loving care You come in search of me. It is on Your shoulders that I can place my burdens. When dark clouds of doom surround me, I will not fear for Your rod and Your staff protect me. You have opened the gates of heaven and prepared a banquet for my home coming celebration. I derive much joy from belonging to You.
Guide me, O Lord, beyond my fears, beyond my wants from darkness into light. While I long for many things, I believe that You will meet my every need. In Your faithfulness and love, I find safety and peace. When my spirit is low You lift me up and give life to my soul. When I wonder about aimlessly You guide me in paths of righteousness and truth. My spirit longs to be one with You and hear the words of life that You speak. Where You are concerned, I am like a thirsty man in the desert longing for water. Though I face all manner of trouble and turmoil, I will not lose hope because You are always by my side. You have built a hedge around me to protect me from harm. Your goodness and mercy follow me all day long … wherever I go. I am reassured by Your promise that I will live with You in Heaven forever. You alone satisfy my longing heart with Your love and devotion.
I rejoice in the fact that I have been able to discern You voice in the raucous noise that surrounds me. When You call out, I hear Your voice and respond. My heart is filled with love and gratitude for all You have done, what You are currently doing, and what You will do for me in the future. I will strive with all my strength to live a life that You will be proud of. My oneness with You will help me develop the character and goodness that flow so naturally from You. Your presence in my life fills me with joy and hope. I believe that following You will produce good in my life. You have left a road map for me to follow by the example You left when You were here on the earth. Because You lived an unselfish life You have called me to live one too. You ask that I give and not take … love and not hate … hope and not despair. In doing so, I will become more like You. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
