God’s Way

O Mighty King, my success comes from those instances when I am willing to go along with Your plan for my life … not when I follow my own desires. Overcoming issues and problems comes when I trust You rather than earthly power, money, or mental capacity. Anything that I do Your way will always end in success. The bar for success is not set by the world, but by Your Word. I must be willing to adjust my thinking to Your way of thinking to understand Your ways and intents. I demonstrate the magnitude of my faith by trusting You to protect and guide me. By taking note of what You have done for me in the past will help me develop confidence in the fact You will help me in the future. My ability to do Your work comes from my unquestioning trust in You. The promises in Your Word reassure me of Your love and desire to share with me the wisdom I need to make good decisions in the things that I face.

Your Word contains instructions for every aspect of my life. Your words guide me in my daily life and provide specific marching orders, if followed, to cause me to be victorious throughout my life. The best guidance I could receive comes from Your Word. By staying in touch with You through Your Word, I will gain the wisdom I need to meet every challenge that comes into my life. To be effective in living out Your plan for me, I must be confident in Your ability to give me strength when I am weak … courage when I face overwhelming odds … and openly seek and covet Your advice. I must learn to become a good listener and move quickly when I hear Your instructions. Once I know what You want me to do, I must be diligent in carrying it out. To achieve the goals You have set for my life, I must be willing to follow wherever You lead and do whatever You ask of me.

I can’t pick and choose when I will obey. My obedience must be constant and supported by an understanding of all You have done for me in the past. To love You means more than just being excited about our relationship. I must be willing to do what You ask of me … not doing things my way, but Yours. I must not drift away from Your plan but listen and follow every word of instruction You provide. I will show my commitment to You by obeying the things You ask. In the same way that Your people obeyed You and crossed over the Jordan into the promised land, I need to cross over from my old ways to the new ones You have given to me. I must learn to control my selfish desires and follow the ways You set before me. It will take faith and courage to live out the life You have laid out for me. And I know that my life will be successful if I do things Your way. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!

Psalm 25:4 Show me Your ways, O Lord, teach me Your paths; guide me in truth and teach me, for You are God My Savior and my hope is in You.
