Most Majestic Lord, Your followers must be able to face difficult challenges, obstacles and problems knowing that You will give them victories over the things that block their paths and the storms they must weather. We must remember that it is You who stilled the storms, multiplied the fishes and loaves, guided Your people through the wilderness and Jordan River, defended them from their enemies, and gave them the words to speak before Pharaoh. Within Your awesome power resides the ability to deliver me from principles, powers, rulers of darkness and any weapon formed against me. All that I need to face my trials and challenges is Your courage. As I learn to follow in Your footsteps, I know that I will encounter all kinds of opposition. As I choose to follow You, I must remain confident that You are greater than any obstacle I face.
During trying times, I must not forget that You are standing with me and will give me the strength and courage to stand my ground. I believe with all my heart that You will keep Your promise to never leave or forsake me. I must use that trust in You to muster the strength and fortitude I need to overcome my obstacles and achieve my victories. Your Word tells me that You overcame the world … with all its trappings and allures … so, as a believer, I too can overcome the challenges of the world and the traps set by my enemies. Since You are a victor, I have also been made a victor in and through You. It is You who makes me brave and gives me the confidence to stand firm during my storms. With You standing by my side, I know I can muster the courage I need to face whatever life throws at me. You have been, and still are, my Rock and source of strength.
I know that I can be strong and courageous if I obey You. For if I am obedient You have promised that I will be successful in my endeavors. In obedience, there is no room for fear of failure. I must always cling to Your admonition to not be frightened or dismayed when I am confronted with obstacles or challenges because You are standing with me. As the Psalmist proclaimed, “Even though I walk the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff they comfort me.” When I become afraid of what the future holds for me, I will put my trust in You. I know that my strength and courage come through Your awesome power which upholds me in everything that I face. It is through Your strength and guidance that I will be empowered to achieve my victories. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
