Almighty God, You speak and the sun rises. You speak again and it sets. Each day You shine light into the darkness and I see things not seen before. I am Your consecrated child … formed in Your image and likeness … in covenant relationship with You … and alive because of Your sacrifice. Heaven and earth proclaim Your glory … for You are its Righteous King. The earth is filled with Your goodness and Your mercy is an everlasting force setting captives free. Because of Your kindness, You love abounds toward me and Your ambition for me is to be kind, virtuous and righteous like You. In the abundance of the love You have for me, You have done discontinued the practice of offerings of sacrificial offers and replaced them with Your mercy, gained through Your death on the Cross, as a covering for my sins.
Each day I hear Your voice calling out to me … wanting me to know You more intimately … and urging me to walk beside You throughout my day. You watch over me and are pleased with my acts of love and unselfishness. The sacrifice You want from me is a surrendered life … obedient to Your will. In the abundance of Your goodness and mercy, I know You will supply all of my needs. Through Your ever- abiding love, the blessings of Heaven are poured over my life. Put a guard over my mouth so that I speak no evil. Open my ears so that I might hear Your precepts and commands and hide them in my heart. Help me be sensitive to the needs of others and show me how to respond to them. When the cares of life flood in to separate me from You, help me not to forget the many times I’ve needed Your help to bail me out of a tough situation. For when I do not cling to You, my enemies stalk me, separate me from Your flock and devour me, like a lion does his prey. As My King and Master, You deserve my very best … my deep devotion and my praise … and, I must be willing to accept that You are my way to contentment and peace.
Have mercy on me, Your servant, for I know You to be a loving and compassionate God. In Your goodness and mercy, You have washed away all of my in iniquities and cleansed me from all of my sins. Your desire is for me to learn Your truths and walk uprightly in Your ways. In You, I am able to experience real joy and open myself up for a more intimate relationship. May Your countenance never stop shining over me and Your blessings never cease to flow to me. And, in return, I will proclaim Your Lordship to all that I meet. I will present You with the offerings of a broken spirit, a contrite heart and a humbled will. I know that You love me and want to see me prosper and be in good health. That is why I will always delight in Your goodness and mercy. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
Psalm 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
