Knowing Who You Are – Part I

O God of Glory, You are perfect and Your words are flawless. You are my Protector and Refuge to whom I can run. You formed the earth and uphold it with Your power. There is no one holy like You and perfect in all Your ways. You are my strength and reason for living. You have delivered me from the Kingdom of Darkness and brought me into Your Kingdom of Light. Salvation can be found in no other and the only way to salvation is through You. I am convinced that the words You speak are right and true and You are faithful to fulfill all Your promises. When I come up short in my promises to You, that does not change Your commitment to remain faithful to me. You have become the provision for all my needs. I can rest in peace because I know You have all things under control. I have put my life into Your hands and I have no regrets.

There is no one who can compare to You and no one who is Your equal. I am confident that You will stand by everything You say and everyone who commits their lives to You. I know that Your thoughts are not my thoughts, neither are my ways Your ways, but I am open to the instruction of the Holy Spirit and learning how to walk like You. I feel safe knowing You have all power and will use it in my defense. When I meditate on the things You say and consider all Your mighty deeds, I think “what an awesome God I serve.” I am thankful that You never rest or take Your eyes off me. You are continually looking for ways to intercede on my behalf. You have promised me in Your Word that before I call out, You will answer … and while I am still speaking, You will hear. If I seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, everything that I need will follow.

I am confident that my requests will be honored when I ask in Your name. I believe that if I ask anything in Your will, You will hear and respond accordingly. You demonstrated the depth of Your love for me when You paid the price for my sins on Calvary. Because of Your great sacrifice, I am now called a child of God. Through You and my faith in You, I have been given the privilege of approaching Your Father to express my love and appreciation. Being my Companion, enables You to sympathize with my weaknesses and help me overcome them all. Because of our relationship, I can come to You for mercy and grace to help me in my times of need. Since You have done so much to enrich and make my life better, I want to make known to everyone what a great and loving God You are. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!

I John 4:10 This is love … not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
