Most Wondrous Lord, I praise You for Your steadfast faithfulness to me and the marvelous things You have done for me. You had a plan for my life when I was born and You sent me into the world to fulfill it. You have been my refuge in times when I was needy or in distress. You have sheltered me from the storms in my life, been a covering to keep me safe from danger and have driven back the ruthless evildoers who threaten to overwhelm me. You have swallowed up death forever and given me a chance to share eternity with You. You wiped away my tears when I was sad or distraught over my failures. You have removed the disgrace I’ve felt when I’ve sinned against You or made thoughtless missteps. Because I’ve put my trust in You, You have redeemed me and filled my heart with joy. Give me Your help in overcoming the pride and selfishness I find prevailing in my life.
You are my source of perfect peace because I maintain my trust in You. You have been the Rock who has lifted me above the fray. When the deck has been stacked against me, You have leveled the playing field so I have a chance to succeed. As I walk in Your ways and look for You to intervene in my life when needed, I know You will show me the right things to do and meet my every need. O how I yearn for You to be a part of each day in my life. Through Your grace, I am learning the ways of righteous living and I know I will be successful in everything You call me to do. You have enlarged my life with Your goodness and made it easy for me to honor You with it. I rejoice in the fact that You watch over me day and night so that no harm will come to me. As each day passes, I learn more about how to live for You so I can bear fruit for Your Kingdom.
You have led me in judging uprightly and You have been my source of strength when I was at my weakest. You have become my resting place when I grow weary. Whenever I’ve thought all hope was lost, You have been there to lift my spirits and point me in the direction to go in order to be an overcomer. You have made me sensitive to lies and shown me how to discern those who speak falsehoods. You are the cornerstone of my life and I know that as I continue to place my trust and faith in You I will be standing on a strong foundation. You have cancelled my appointment with death and provided me with hope for my future. Help me listen intently for Your voice and pay attention to the words You speak … for in them are life. They make me want to bask in Your wonderful counsel and love. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
