I praise You, Dear Lord, for Your goodness to me and the loving compassion You show to me each day. When I chose to submit to You, I committed to no longer live for myself. And now that You live in me … the life I once lived in the flesh … I now live through the Spirit, because of my faith and trust in You. It is through Your grace that I am able to live in freedom from sin and eternal death. And, I’ve been enabled to walk boldly through Your power and might. As each day passes, I am learning that the greatest expression of my faith is made through my love for You and my fellow man. As I internalize Your Holy Scriptures, I am being purged of evil, selfish desires and empowered to live in conformity with Your commands and decrees. I know that as I persist in following in Your footsteps, I will find the way to forgiveness, peace and joy. Even though I have never seen You in person, I feel Your presence with me throughout my day. As I become conformed to Your will, I see Your power and love manifested all around me.
I have come to realize that faith is my “spiritual muscle” which allows me to prevail in spiritual matters. To function properly, it must be fed and exercised regularly. I feed it through reading of Your Word, prayer and meditation. I exercise my faith when I step out believing what You say is actually true. And when I do not see the answers I prayed for, I have confidence that Your answer is on its way. I have come to understand that my faith is like a bridge from Your abundance to my need. Each day I perform maintenance on it through confession, good works, being open to Your instruction and not being slothful. I know that even a small amount of faith placed in You will expand the possibilities in my life. I am committed to giving You my best and striving for better outcomes in every aspect of my life.
I know I can count on Your support each time I fall because You are always there to lift me up when I cannot stand up to the pressures imposed upon me. With Your hands extended, You satisfy my desires and supply all of my needs. You are righteous in all of Your ways and faithful in fulfilling Your promises to me. I know that because of Your deep, abiding love, You will help me navigate life and eliminate the enemies who seek to lead me astray. As each day begins, I am confident that You will be looking out for my well-being. In the shadow of Your wings, I am able to find comfort and rest. As I walk by faith and not be sight, I am able to see the large and small things You do to enrich my life. Help me never neglect the maintenance of my faith that helps me walk in Your ways. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
