Most Wondrous Lord, may we who are called by Your Name make You known to all the world. Let us tell of Your marvelous deeds and Your loving acts of mercy. May the hearts of those who seek You more rejoice in their God. May we all look to You for our strength and follow in Your footsteps. Help us recall the wonders that You have done in our lives and how well You have treated us. You have called us each to Yourself and given us a mission. I want to acknowledge Your sovereign power over my life and that each day I am alive is a gift of Your love. You never forget Your promises to Your people, and You have honored them all with every generation. By Your death and resurrection, You have made an everlasting covenant with every believer which You honor by Your word. Because of You I have an inheritance that was bought with Your blood, I will treasure it as long as I live.
I have wondered throughout my life just what Your mission is for me? I have asked over and over, “why am I here?” Your answer has been “come follow me.” As I submit myself to Your leadership, I believe that You will guide me in paths of righteousness and open my eyes to see what You have in mind for my life. I have marveled over the way that when circumstances have turned my life upside down like a turtle on its back, You have come in love to set me back on my feet and point me in the right direction. My heart swells with praise as I reflect on all the marvelous deeds You have done for Your people throughout the ages. You are great and worthy of my praise. You are to be revered above all other gods. Splendor and majesty go before You and strength and joy follow wherever You go. You make me want to bring my heart before You and submit it at Your feet.
Though the world trembles beneath my feet, I know that you have set me on the sound foundation of Your Word. While lying has become prevalent in the world today, only You speak the truth and stand by Your Word. It is You who filled the sky with stars, filled the sea with teaming life and causes the fields and forests to sing Your praise as the wind moves over them. I give You praise, My Lord, for You are good and Your love for me endures forever. You have gathered all Your people into one body and delivered them from sin. I have come to understand that every person is important to You because You proved that fact by dying on the cross. When You left the earth, You did not leave me alone for You left the Holy Spirit to guide, teach and comfort me. You have shined Your light into my life … help me reflect it into the lives of others. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
