Satan is Alive and Well

My Devoted Savior, in the secular world in which I live, Satan is surely having his way.  Many people have become vulnerable to his attacks and don’t even understand they are being manipulated.  From what I hear and see on radio and TV, I see him taking a stranglehold on many Americans.  There is a saying that “power corrupts” and it is at the heart of much of what is going on today.  I see the works of Satan in the likes of life no longer having meaning, God being removed from schools, control overtaking compassionate caring and fake excuses being offered to justify changes that do not make sense.  All of these things make me more cautious about what I hear and believe.  I need the help of the Holy Spirit to sort through what is truth and what are deceptions.  The Devil is cunning and knows how to appeal to man’s weaknesses.  All Christians need to be on their guard to not be deceived.

The Devil is trying to blitz the offensive line (us Christians) in order to sack the quarterback (You).  Social justice is the Trojan Horse he uses to spread his mantra and he has found many who will push his agenda.  The cries for change only meet a tepid response from Christians.  What is said in Your Word means nothing to Satan’s followers and Your people are too fearful to stand up for what they know is right.  I’m upset about continually being accused of being a sexist, homophobe, Marxist, etc.  None of these are who I am … and they are not who You are.  It saddens me to hear that more and more people, who profess being Christians, are abandoning their churches.  While I stand for the light, these counterfeits thrive in the darkness.  For those who are not grounded in their Christianity, the occult represents a way to espouse their evil desires.  It is so sad to watch Satan defy You in such a blatant way.

In Ephesians, You instruct me to “be strong in the Lord and His mighty power.”  This is a call for me as a Christian to take up arms and battle the forces of evil around me.  To withstand, I must depend on Your strength and wisdom.  And, put on the armor You provided for me to prevail (the belt of Truth, the breastplate of Righteousness, my feet shod with the Gospel, the shield of Faith, the helmet of Salvation and the sword of the Spirit … Your Word).  The whole body needs to arm itself and fight in the power of the Holy Spirit.  I must support those who have taken a stand against evil … with my time, talent and resources.  I can sit no longer and helplessly watch as evil takes over my land.  “Stand firm” is Your command.  It means I need to know what I believe and stand on it.  With these dangers in mind, I must remain alert and pray continually for Your help in resisting evil.  And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray.  AMEN!!

Ephesians 6:13 Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground …
