O Blessed Savior, in whom I live and move and have my very being, help me realize that my life does not consist of the abundance of my possessions … nor the power or influence I wield… nor my mental prowess … but, the level of trust I have in You. That will require me to be unafraid to love, become willing to reach out to others, setting aside self and making myself vulnerable to You. I must open my heart to receive You in a personal way … making You Ruler of my life … listening intently to Your Word and absorbing its wisdom … praying at all times, without ceasing … and, rejoicing in both good and bad times. I must be willing to share with You my deepest thoughts and emotions and act on Your guidance and directives. In so doing, my hope is that You will touch my soul in a deeper way and brighten even my darkest days.
Most Glorious Savior, how wonderful it is to belong to You. I am so thankful for Your involvement and workings in my life. I know that when I lean on You, You will be there for me … a helping hand to lighten my load … a warm smile to encourage me … a strong arm to defend me … and, the words to embolden me to press on to be more like You. Your heart is tender and kind and You always treat me with love and respect. You show me how to see things in a hopeful, optimistic way … helping me to see the best in people and circumstances. You are the source of my hope that good will come to me as I willingly undertake the things You ask me to do. I pray that more and more of my brothers and sisters will come to know the bounteousness of a committed relationship with You.
You are my blessed assurance … my confident hope … the force that causes my faith and love to grow. You are the keeper of my life and the sustainer of good health. I have complete and absolute trust in Your care and guidance. When I think of You, I feel safe and confident. You alone are my source and the One I rely on to meet my every need. Under Your protective covering, I have no fear or misgivings. When You reach out Your hand to help me, I know that You want to guide me in safety to the fulfillment of my dreams and aspirations. For all these reasons, I trust in You with all my heart and lean not on my understanding in navigating life. And, it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
