Precious Lord, I face many problems that seem to defy solution, yet I must face them and find a way to solve them. I need Your Wisdom to shine brightly into my life so I can determine the way I am to go. Each day provides me with opportunities to put You where You belong … at the center of my life. I believe that sometimes difficulties come about to help remind me that I can’t make it alone. I know that You’ve promised to instruct me and show me my path into the future … and, that Your eyes would always be upon me to guide me through the fog that I sometimes experience. Your counsel is something that I need because there is a lot I do not know … but You know everything. I believe that You have a plan for my life … a plan that is near and dear to Your heart … and, I must genuinely seek to find out what that plan is so that I can be in harmony with You. As Your servant, I must also remain sensitive to opportunities to share Your message of love and concern with others, regardless of my personal situation.
Help me make decisions that are good for my life. The most important one is keeping my commitment to You as my Lord and Savior. Because I’ve made the choice to make you pre-eminent in my life, all kinds of doors have been opened that lead to peace and prosperity. As I learn how to become a better follower, things will become easier and I will find the strength I need to move my life forward. To succeed, I must be willing to trust You with my life and commit myself to obeying Your edicts and commands. If I submit myself and willingly follow Your lead, You will show me the way I am to go … the things I must do or stop doing … and, the character I must form in order to be like You. In my most difficult times, when I am unsure of which way to turn, I will search for Your light which shows me the way I am to go.
O Lord, I know it is You who works in me to both will and do Your good pleasure. As I become conformed to Your likeness, things will start working out for me and my goals will become attainable. As You guide me, I will be filled with Your joy, which is hard to describe … yet it energizes me and fills me with hope. As I yield to You, my hopes, dreams and realities will be achieved. Through Your death, burial and resurrection, I have become an heir and beneficiary of all of Your promises. With my life in Your hands, I know that You will change it to make old things pass away and exciting new things will replace them. Without Your involvement in my life, it has no meaning. Therefore, even when all else fails, I know I can turn to You to save me from my circumstances and return control of my life back to me. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
