Praise be to You, O Glorious King, who in the beginning was with God and who is God. Through You all things were made … even me. And there is nothing in creation that You did not form with Your hands. Life was first in You and You gave it to me. You are the Light of the World and through Your light I am able to see my way more clearly. The light You shined dispelled darkness and showed me a path to forgiveness and redemption. What You teach is inseparable from who You are. My believe in You is at the very core of who I am. If I cannot believe in You and Your words, what hope do I have? I know Your goal is to see me build my faith and confidence so I can walk in freedom and prosperity. You are not a god, but THE GOD who rules over all things. You always were … You always will be … and, You will always remain the same. You’re the Father’s messenger to His people … bringing a message of hope, help and change. It is through Your Word that I am guided and encouraged.
I am so thankful that You came and dwelled among us. You left behind a light to show me THE WAY. I have experienced You speaking to me … I have accept Your teachings … and, I have made an oath to do my best to obey Your commands. When I find myself discouraged or conflicted, I turn to You for advice and comfort. My desire is to see the beauty in Your truths and have ears to hear and comprehend their implication in my life. I am constantly making decisions that impact my life, so I need to constantly consult with You to insure my outcomes will be good. As long as I stay faithful to Your precepts, I will not fall into the traps set out by my enemies. Your presence in my life is a true blessing that brings joy to my heart. I will always cling to You like a drowning man clings to a life preserver until I am able to make it to the safely of high ground.
Help me never be double minded … instead, focusing solely on Your words … because they are my refuge and place of safety. I have put my hope and trust in You. And, as I have become obedient to Your will, You have undergirded and sustained me through Your promises. I know that as I work out my salvation, You will be there to help me through the transition from where I am to where I want to be. You cannot help me if I choose to go my own way and reject Your outstretched hands. I tremble at the awesomeness of Your mighty power and I recognize that same power in Your words. As I follow Your lead … striving to do what is right … do not leave me for I am surrounded by enemies. Deal with me in the abundance of Your love and teach me the things I need to know to have a full and prosperous life. And, I will forever love THE ONE who dared to be called God. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
