You Fill My Life

Most Glorious Lord, You rule over all things with power and justice. You came to establish Your Kingdom in every heart that was willing to yield itself to You. The message You came to give was based on love, mercy, and the promise of eternal life. Righteousness and grace are Your garments attesting to Your royal lineage. You have done wondrous things that give testimony to who You are. My life came through You as does the light that shows me the way to a more fulfilling and meaningful life. I rejoice in the fact that You came to save me from the power of Satan and sin. To both the elite and lowly, You share Your message of redemption and love. You teach me throughout each day … not to fear but to be brave … to overcome obstacles and not succumb to circumstances … to trust in truth and not lies. Your way is the better way and I have become a devoted follower.

You brought mercy from Your Father and peace to all men. You came to break down the barrier between Your Father and sinful man. As a man, You went through everything most of us go through which makes You a perfect Advocate for me with Your Father. You brought light into the world and a chance for eternal life to all of those who would believe in You as their Savior. As the Messiah, spoke of in the scriptures, You came to die for my sins. You lived and died among us so that we could escape the power of sin and live for eternity. Despite the sad and sinful world in which I live, You give me the hope I need to persevere in facing the obstacles in my life. I am never alone because You stand with me, and I am encouraged by the fact I will not be tested beyond what I can handle. I live each day in the knowledge that in Your strength and wisdom, I can lead a successful life.

I am frail, but my consolation is that I am complete in You. I was blind, but I now see things through Your eyes. I was confused, but Your wisdom enabled me to work through my dilemmas. I was stained by sin, but Your blood has washed me as white as snow. I was selfish and self-seeking, but You have taught me how to love and be generous. Without You as my rudder I wander aimlessly, but You have added meaning and purpose to my life. I was a loner, but You have made me a part of a large Christian family. I sought earthly pleasures, power, and status, but You have fulfilled all my needs and helped me become more like You. Like a small child who can’t wait for school to end, I do not. I want You to tutor me so that I can attain the goal You have set for me. And it’s in Jesus ’name I pray. AMEN!!

John 14:6 Jesus said unto him, “I am the way, the truth and the life.”
