Mighty and Strong One, give me the strength I need to make it through another day. You alone are the One who helps me stand when I feel faint. You are the One that props me up when temptation and the words of the Devil come to take me down. You are the One who helps me turn the other cheek. You are the One who helps me prevail when everything is going against me. You are the One who hung the moon and stars … surely You can rescue me with Your power. Come quickly like the wind in a storm. From Your wisdom send me the truths that will help me when I flounder. Send Your strength to be my guardian and Your might to uphold me. I feel safe knowing Your eyes roam to and from looking for danger as it approached … Your ears are attentive to my cries for help when I grow weak … and, Your lips continually console me with Your promises and possibilities.
Make Your ways known to me and I will never stray from You. Build a hedge around me so evil will not enter my life to separate us. Give me Your shield to ward off the fiery darts of my enemies. Place angels along my path each day to protect me from evil, worldly thinking and my own weak flesh. Send Your healing power to rescue me, my friends and family from sickness. Push me and prod me through Your Word and the counsel of the Holy Spirit to do good and shun evil. Stand by me so no harm will come my way. Keep me from being tested above what I can stand as You promised in Your Word. You are the King of Creation and all power and glory resides with You. Only You, in Your awesomeness, can give me the peace and rest I need to prevail over life’s many challenges. Stand with me, O Lord, or I will collapse from the burdens that I carry.
Be merciful to me, My Lord, because I cannot withstand the heat of Your wrath. When my soul is in anguish, only You can relieve my pain and strengthen me for the battles I face. Deliver me from the turmoil in which I find myself through Your unfailing love. When I am worn out from bearing my burdens, I look to Your power to take them up for me. Remove from me all those who seek to do me harm or undermine my good name. I rejoice in the fact that You care about what happens to me and want to respond to my calls for help. I must not forget that You created me to rule over Your creation and not turn away from Your calling on my life. The next time I question my self-worth or ability to deal with adversity, I’ll look to Your example of the Cross by which You overcame adversity and made me an overcomer. It is Your power alone that sustains me. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
II Corinthians 12:9-10 He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in your weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that God’s power may rest on me.
