Most Glorious Lord, each day when I arise, I want to seek Your leading and guidance throughout my day. Knowing You are standing beside me helps me trust that nothing will lead me astray. Your presence steadies my walk and aids me in resisting the temptations that come to draw me away from You. When I am weak, I need Your strength to help me persevere against the darkness that looms all around me. I am confident that Your awesome power can get through any circumstance I face. When darkness tries to cloud my judgement and distract me from responding to You, send Your light to show me the way that I am to go. You have always been faithful to me whenever I cried out for help so be my strong fortress and force for good. When others abandon me, I know that I can count on Your encouragement to get me through whatever I am going through.
Your leadership and guidance are the keys to overcoming negative circumstances and the evil I face. Help me always walk uprightly and remain faithful to You in all my ways. It’s important for me to be true to You the way that You have been true to me. I need Your strong right arm upholding me when Satan and sin come to capture and oppress me. As one of Your Apostles once said, “to whom shall I go?” I feel the same way and I have put my trust in You alone. I know that to ensure each step I take is ordered by You, I need You to guide me and lead me so that I stay true to Your calling. In seeking Your wisdom, I know I will be able to make sound decisions and good choices. My happiness lies in You alone. With You standing with me, I know I will be able to stand firm against my enemy and do things that will make You proud. Show me the path of righteousness and I will walk in it gladly.
If You take my hand, I will yield to You and follow wherever You lead. Without Your light to show me the way, I’m sure I would wander aimlessly and lose my way. As Your servant, I want to become obedient, loyal and respond quickly to Your commands. Life gets really tough when I do not sense You near me. My faith is important to my sticking with You when the way forward is not clear. When I want to hear from You, I should take refuge in the Scriptures to receive the encouragement and counsel that I need to persevere. I know that by staying close to You, I’ll be shown the path that I am to travel to reach the goals You have set for me. In Your presence, I know that I will experience the fullness of joy and a meaningful life. Lead me and guide me so that I will be able to do everything that You ask of me. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
