My Dependable Lord, my commitment to You and the truths You share cannot be taken for granted. As a person who has given his life to You, I must respond to Your call with devotion and obedience. Your love forms the source for my trust in You. I trust in You because You love me and gave Yourself to save me from ellHell. Choosing to follow Your lead helps me and causes me to aspire to better things. If I choose to abandon Your ways, I hurt myself and give evil a chance to come into my life. I must not only become a doer of Your Word, but I must pass on the truths that You have taught me. To become a good teacher, I must take Your truths into my heart and mind as though I own them. I rejoice in the fact that Your patience and expressions of love are more common events than Your rath and punishments. I must resolve to not let the mistakes I make be repeated and ensure that my promises to You are kept.
Because of all the times You have come through for me, I should have a hopeful outlook and be willing to follow You. Because of the high expectations You have for me, I should be open minded, listen intently, and obey You fully. Because of whom You are, I must love You completely and without reservation. Learning the lessons You teach me will aid me in living a prosperous life and appropriate the blessings You have for me. I must never forget the many kindnesses You have shown to me and in return I should love, trust, and obey You. By constantly reminding myself of the many things You have done for me, I will be encouraged to live my life to the fullest and keep myself from the occasions of sin. Your message is clear … because You first loved me, it is only fitting that I love You back. If I make You the center of my life, I know that my outcomes will all be positive.
You have called me to love You with all my heart, all my soul, all my mind, and all my strength. Often, I make mistakes, but that should not stop me from living for You and remaining faithful to my calling. The trials and tests that I go through add character to my life … the character You possess. As my Leader, I should be willing to follow You no matter where the road leads. I should not make any decision (that’s important to my future) where I do not call on You for Your advice. By remaining close to You, I will learn more about You and come to understand what motivates You to be pure and just. I can avoid mistakes in my life through remaining attentive to the lessons You teach me from Your Word and my everyday experiences with the Holy Spirit. It is because of You that I am changing every day and I am thrilled in becoming the person You want me to become. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
