Hope to Keep Me Going

Blessed be You, O Lord, for You are the source of all goodness and my hope is in You.  In Your love, I have the confidence that all of my outcomes will be favorable and my life will be filled with Your goodness.  I am content in the knowledge that You want to bless me and fulfill Your promises to me.  I know that I will never be disappointed if my hope is in You, because You have poured out Your love through the blood of Your Son who suffered and died for me.  Through my reliance on You, I have the assurance my sins are forgiven … You will help be through my trials … prosperity will follow me wherever I go … and, one day, I will spend eternity with You.  In order to navigate my life, You’ve given me faith (to believe), hope (to trust), and love (by which I am sustained).  It is not in my DNA to stop before the job is done … quit because of the size of the obstacle … wither under the heat of trials and difficulties … or, see a flood as an end rather than a new beginning.

Through the scriptures, I’ve come to realize that You are the source of my anticipated prosperity and victory.  It is You who infuses me with joy and peace, as I trust in the promises gained through Your death, burial and resurrection.  It causes me to rely on Your goodness and pass it along to others.  Because of Your sacrifice, I can now trust that You will do what You say … be there when I need You … share my load in times of need … and, open the doors of blessings from Your storehouse.  In my new birth, You gave me the expectation that I will overcome sin, trials and death.  Through Your love, the gates of heaven have been opened to me and heaven is my home.

By my counting on You, salvation, prosperity, security, refuge and deliverance are mine to possess.  The fulfillment of my yearning comes from knowing Your help is always near and Your concerns for my welfare are never-ending.  You have been with me since before I was born … given me caring parents … met my every need … provided me with opportunities for a good life … assisted me in my times of difficulty and trouble … and, given me the wisdom to successfully navigate life.  As a result, I am filled with gladness and I feel secure because You’ve helped me accept my future … made yourself available to me … and blessed me.  You have opened Your heart to me so I could learn in whom I should place my trust.  For trust placed in others, my possessions, or human wisdom is fragile … like building my house on sand.  But trusting in You is solid – like building my house on a Rock.  As I place my hope in You, my confidence becomes unshakeable and my outcomes become positive.  Therefore, I will praise your name and count on Your hope to keep me going.  And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray.  AMEN!!

Job 11:13/18 Yet if you devote your heart to Him and stretch out your hand to Him … you will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety.
