I Am Most Grateful

Most Benevolent King, my gratitude for all that You do for me is a powerful force that brightens my moods, lowers my stress and makes me more considerate of others.  A result of Your kind and loving treatment is that I am moved to express my appreciation for Your benefits through praise and worship.  With the sacrifice of Yourself on my behalf, I’ve been qualified for entry into Heaven, rescued from the dominion of sin and darkness, redeemed with a price I could not pay and been given a place at Your banqueting table.  Through Your unfailing kindness, all of the bounties of Heaven have been made available to me.  I rejoice in the fact that, because of Your goodness, my life is filled with goodness.  Your love is endless and, therefore, my supply is endless.  Because of Your faithfulness, I can count on You to stand with me in everything I face.  You are a friend at all times and, as a consequence, I do not worry.

I am grateful for the fact that You have brought me out of the agony of darkness and separation from You to the point of rejoicing for being exposed to Your light and tender love.  You are the foundation on which I have built my life and You are the cornerstone of Your church.  As I become more grateful for all that You’ve done for me, I feel my attitudes being changed.  I’ve become more positive, more forgiving, more loving and more humble.  If I dare to wander from Your side, You bring me back.  If my missteps cause me to fall into bondage to my enemies, You set me free.  When storms of adversity invade my life, You rescue me from their effects.  When calamities block my path forward, You make a way.  In Your enduring love, I find forgiveness, kindness, encouragement and tenderness.  Through Your involvement in my life, I am able to detect victories and miracles becoming a part of it.

Not only do I find myself being grateful for the things You give me like peace, prosperity, safety and rest … but, I’m also thankful for the things for which I’ve been spared like serious illness, financial ruin, horrible mistakes with devastating effects and burdens I cannot bear.  I cherish every blessing that You bestow upon me and I’m beginning to recognize them better each day.  I delight in Your command for me to be thankful for the good things You put into my life and the things of which I’ve been spared.  I am extremely grateful for Your favorable treatment which helps me keep my perspective when things are not going well for me.  I appreciate Your gift of faith which allows me to have dominion over the influences of my enemies.  As a result of being a beneficiary of Your benefits and being spared from harm, I am most grateful for Your loving care.  And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray.  AMEN!!

Psalm 100:3-4 Know that the Lord is God.  It is He who has made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.  Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.
