My Great Physician, I know that You delight in my faith and take pleasure in demonstrating Your love and power on my behalf. You honor my dependence on You whenever I call out in the middle of my pain, sickness, or times of weakness. My earthly troubles are merely opportunities to receive Your love and watch You work to improve my life. Only You possess the ability to take any situation in my life and turn it into good. I am Your child and, like any child who depends on its parent, I depend on You as my Creator and Sustainer. Over Your life here on earth You demonstrated Your power over sin and death. And while You currently sit at the right hand of Your Father, the scriptures tell me that You are still touched by the infirmities of Your people. Even though it has been some time since You were on earth You remain with me through the workings of the Holy Spirit.
My personal belief is that You stand ready to help me, to strengthen me, and bring healing to every aspect of my life. No matter what health issues I may facing, I know that if I turn to You and ask You to intervene on my behalf You will respond. Your Word assures me that “He was pierced for our transgressions and He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him and by His wounds we are healed.” As You went through Galilee teaching and proclaiming The Word, You healed those who were mentally and physically afflicted. Bring that same power to me today so that I may never be tempted to doubt Your promise to keep me whole. In the same way that people were brought to You who were sick, crippled and demon possessed You healed them all. I trust that You will heal me and those I pray for in order that we might see Your power and give You praise.
In the same way that the Holy Spirit anointed You with power in order that You could do good and heal those brought to You, fill me with the same power so that I will enable me to lay hands on the sick and see them healed. Help me always remember that You were a healer and, if I want to emulate You, I should bring Your healing power to those in need. I am thankful that You are able and willing to heal Your people today. I treasure Your promises knowing that they give life and health to my life. I anxiously await the demonstration of Your power as You heal those in need and reveal Your love and power to those who do believe. Nothing is too difficult for You and I know You can heal every affliction whether it be in body, mind, or spirit. I am confident in seeking Your power in my life regardless of whether it is in sickness or health. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
