May Your Precious Name be praised forever, for Your loving kindness is better than all the riches money can buy. You offer me good things of great value which cannot be bought … things like unconditional love, hope, forgiveness, eternal life, the power to overcome, security and a deep personal bond. From the beginning of time, when You created the Garden of Eden, You had my best interest at heart and wanted to give me a life filled with contentment and plenty. Sin spoiled all of that, but You did not let that thwart Your effort to give me Your best. As a result, You sent Your only Son as a living sacrifice to free me from the grips of sin and allow me to walk as a free man. My decision to follow You and treat others as I would have them treat me is Your gage of how much of Your blessings You will share with me. That is why I willingly submit to Your Lordship … follow the leading of the Holy Spirit … and, take up my cross daily to follow You daily. In so doing, I open myself up to Your love and kindness.
In living for You, I have come to know that all the earth is filled with Your goodness and, if I look, I can find it wherever I go. When I contemplate the depth of Your love, I become aware of Your tenderness and strive to be more like You. When I see the purity in all that You think and do, I am inspired to emulate it. As I acknowledge Your peace, it provides me with a quite rest. In my respect for You , I find humility and the desire to more give of myself. As You dispense Your mercy upon me, despite my weaknesses and failings, I find it easier to forgive others as You forgave me. The things You share with me invite me to be generous like You. The impartial and fair way that You deal with me discourages me from judging others. And, the true and sincere caring You demonstrate in my times of need causes me to be generous and help others. You are gentle and nurturing in guiding me to Your truths and the ways to walk in them. I am thankful for Your generosity in sharing of all that You have with me … prosperity, good health, love, character, virtue and excusing me from undue suffering and heartache.
Each day that passes, I recognize how blessed I am to have You as My Lord. In Your benevolence, You pass along good things and allow me to experience free will. In Your dealings with me, I know You will be fair, generous and caring. In every way, You show a genuine concern for me and my needs. In times of trouble and turmoil, You apply the balm of Your love and tenderness to relieve my pain. Your desire is to free me from bondage and undue suffering. You represent the highest level of virtue and moral uprightness and Your expectation is that I will do my best to emulate it. As I am able to forgive and show mercy, I will be able to walk in Yours. Help me never neglect the things You hold dear… justice, faithfulness and tolerance … for in my dealings with You, You’ve shown them all to me. That is why I rejoice in living in the abundance of Your goodness. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
