(My expression of my deep, undying Devotion)
Have mercy on me, O God. Have mercy on me, for in You my soul takes refuge. I will hide in the shadow of Your wings until my enemies have passed me by. When I cry out to You, You send Your grace to soothe and comfort me. Surely You are a God of love and faithfulness. May You be exalted above the Heavens and the Earth and may Your glory shine over all men. Through all that I’ve endured, my heart has remained steadfastly in love with You. When I am sad and distraught, I sing a song and cry out “Glory Be To God!” I will praise You, O Lord, for great is Your love … reaching down from Heaven … ministering to my every need.
My soul finds rest in You alone. My salvation is a gift given as a reminder of Your love and compassion towards me. You alone are My Rock and the Sure Foundation upon which I’ve built my life. You are My Fortress who protects me when evil comes to steal from me. You are the One in whom I find rest and my hope is sustained by Your mercy. Because You stand with me, I will not be shaken. I will put my trust in You alone and I will let You show me the way I am to go. I will offer my heart to You and You will take it gently and place it with Yours … making me a man of Your very own heart. There are 2 things of which I am sure … first, You are mighty in battle and with You as my Strong Wall, nothing can prevail against me … and second, great is the abundance of Your love which was offered as a sacrifice covering my sins and making me whole. I know that Your blessings will be poured out over me in proportion to my obedience to You.
O God of Love, You are the center of my life and I earnestly yearn for closeness to You. I have witnessed Your power and faithfulness in my life and I will be forever grateful. I have come to know that Your love is better than gold and in You alone do I trust. Your praise will forever be on my lips and whatever rejoicing I do will be because of You. My soul is satisfied … my heart is at rest … Your peace permeates my whole being … and, my belly is full. What more do I need? You have been my constant help. My soul clings to You both day and night. I know that as I surrender more of my life to You, You will enlarge it with practical advice and personal guidance. Because You listen and respond to my prayers, I will remain attentive for Your answers. Blessed am I … the least among men … who abides in Your courts and enjoys the good things of Your house. And it is for this, and many more things, that I give honor and praise to You O God, My God. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray AMEN!!
