How great is Your goodness, My Lord, and how abundant are the many blessings You offer to those who respond to Your call. You made clear the magnitude of Your love for those who trust You and proudly bear Your name. You offer protection from evil to all who seek You as their guardian. You keep me insulated from the plots of my enemies. You have made me feel secure and blessed. In my times of anguish, hear my pleas and rush to my rescue. As I show You my faithfulness, cover me and shelter me from harm. When I become discouraged, encourage me to be strong in Your strength. I must never lose hope and I should give You ample opportunity to bear my burdens as You have promised. Happy am I that Your Father no longer finds fault in me because I’ve been brought under the covering of Your blood. No longer am I condemned to live in darkness but, instead, bask in Your marvelous light.
Welcome me as I seek refuge in You and never let me be put to shame. In Your faithfulness, come to my aid and deliver me from evil. You are my Rock of Refuge so I should not give sway to fear or worry. You have freed me from the net of sin and death so I can swim freely in Your love. Because of the trust that I place in You, I can put my life and everything in it into Your hands for safekeeping. I enjoy basking in Your love because it has put an end to my misery and distress. I know that You will never abandon me in my times of need and You will help me make sound decisions through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. No matter how down-trodden I feel, I know that there will always be a victory awaiting me if I place my faith and trust in You. Knowing that You are in control enables me to stand fast in my faith regardless of the circumstances I face.
Be gracious to me as I find myself laboring under the influence of anxiety and confusion. I cannot escape my problems or the things that need me to take action. At times, sorrow invades my life and I sigh from the heavy load I must bear. I sometimes feel alone because those around me have forgotten me and treat me as though I did not exist. But, in my lowest of times, I remember that You are ever present and rescue me when my challenges loom larger than I can handle. I am thankful that Your timing is always right and Your help is large enough to get me through my trials. I flourish in the mercy and kindness that You show to me. I am reassured by Your protection and stance with me through all of my difficulties. Because I know that Your ears are always attentive for my cries, I know I can count on You to help me keep my life moving in the right direction. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
