Plea to the Unsaved

My Glorious Defender, each day that an unbeliever lives is filled with darkness and Your light does not penetrate their lives. Clouds cover them, but the rain of Your goodness never refreshes them. Life is barren and produces no fruit. Joy has no place in their lives and hopelessness is a constant companion. An unbeliever grasps for something meaningful for his life, but without You there is only emptiness. Goodness in his life is like a vapor disappearing before it takes form. Though he may try to shut the door on unhappiness and heartache, nothing seems to lock them out. He searches for an escape, but there is no way out except through You. Because his life has no purpose without You he strives to create his own “Heaven.” There is no peace and no place to find rest. His possessions, power and prestige are his gods, but none of them fill his emptiness. Where is an unbeliever to go?

The Devil has become your god. And your destiny, like his, is in the “pit of fire”. Like Satan, your desire is to rule through power … foregoing the wisdom, mercy, and compassion of the Lord. Pride is the cause of your deprived state. Like the Devil, your mistake is wanting to make yourself like the Most High God. Because you resist the truth which was sent to rescue you … you will stand judgement for your evil ways. Because you depend on yourself, you see no need for the “Heavenly Creator” to redeem you and instead destine yourself to “eternal death.” The grave is your home, and the pit is your resting place for all of eternity. Close not your ears and cover not your eyes … let the Lord in and He will soften your hard heart. His light will bring you revelation and open you to truth. Your darkness will fade into light and your path forward will have purpose and meaning. Cast off the darkness and come to Him.

Escape your bitter labors … stop your meaningless stumbling … and come to the One who can help you escape your shackles. As you cry out from your troubles and distress, the Lord will come to your aid. He will bring you out of your gloom and release you from your bonds. Do not act as a fool and remain in your rebellious ways. Accept that the Almighty has sent forth His Word so that you can be healed of your afflictions. If you do not repent and abandon your old ways, you will be cast into the “fiery pit” never to rise again. Hear what the Lord is saying to you, “come unto me all you who are weary, and I will give you rest.” Listen carefully to what you are hearing because your master has made lying a refuge and falsehoods a place to hide … but not from the eyes of the Almighty. I am so thankful Lord that through Your efforts I have been delivered from evil. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!

Mathew 4:16 (Isaiah 9:2) The people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.
