I give thanks to You My Loving Lord, for You are good and filled with a love that endures forever. In my times of anguish, You have responded quickly and removed the source of my pain. Because I have the feeling that You are with me at all times, I am not fearful. When my burdens become too heavy, I count on You to help lift my load. Experience has taught me that I can count on You more than the promises of men. When I am surrounded by my enemies, You always seem to find a way to deliver me. I believe that there is nothing on earth that can separate me from You or Your love. You are My Rock and I’ve built my life upon Your promises. If I start to fall, You stabilize me so can remain standing. You are my strength and the source of my hope for the future. It is by Your mighty hand that my way is made safe and my enemies defeated. Therefore, Your love fills my heart with rejoicing and gladness.
In the midst of ever changing situations, You remain consistent and constant. Knowing this gives me confidence and makes me feel secure. When my enemies try to separate me from You, You build a hedge of protection around me to keep me safe. With each victory that I experience in my life, I am filled with increased amounts of joy and thanksgiving. When my actions force You to chastise me, I sense Your compassion in the words of correction that You speak. I am thankful for Your sacrificial gift which has opened the gates of Heaven to me. As a result, I can enter Your gates with thanksgiving in my heart and praise on my lips. You are spoken of as the “stone rejected by the builders”, but You are the cornerstone of my existence. The acts You performed in the Bible and in my life have convinced me that You are real and awesome. Therefore, Your love fills my heart with rejoicing and gladness.
Each day when I awake, I am reminded that this is a day that the Lord has made and I should not take it for granted … rejoicing and being glad instead. I find joy in the fact that when You came to earth You made a truly lasting mark in my favor. With Your light shining into my life, there is no room for darkness. As a result of surrendering my life to You, I am now able to see all the things You have done for me. Daily I have a choice to make … putting my trust in You or someone/something else. With the Holy Spirit to guide me, I know I’ll be shown a better way to live and the way to my eternal destination. How futile it is to trust in anything or anyone but You. When my mood is down, my situation out of control or my sorrow/guilt is overwhelming, I will turn to You in prayer. And, as I share my needs with You, Your reply turns my sadness into rejoicing and gladness. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
