Rescue me, O Lord, from evil and protect me from all harm. Bring to nothing the plans of those who desire evil towards me. Cradle me safely in Your arms and keep me from becoming entangled in the traps set out by my enemies to ensnare me. Hear my cries and conceal me in Your mercy and love. Be My Strong Defense … protecting me with the shield of faith and the sword of the Spirit. Do not let evil prevail over me and help me surrender only to You. I am confident that, when You judge me, You will do it with righteously wanting only to be fair and just. You are the One who upholds me through all of my difficulties enabling me to be victorious, regardless of the odds against me. Because I submit to You, I am able to walk boldly as Your child … sharing in Your love … and, with all diligence, giving my best in the furtherance of Your Kingdom.
I believe that when I call out to You, You will come quickly and respond to my needs. I lift up praise to You like the incense of free-will offerings. You are a steady and unchangeable God who is good to me and levels the ground under my feet so I do not stumble and fall. Protect me, O Lord, and keep me from harm. Guard my path so I am not overcome evil and bring my flesh into submission so I can do good. In Your unfailing love … my enemies are silenced … horrors befall my foes … and, I am ushered to a high place where I am safe. You are the solid foundation on whom I’ve chosen to build my life. As a result I can stand against anything that comes to destroy my life.
Whether I am prospering or facing adversity, I know that You are with me and Your desire is to bless me. You are a loving God who is my Fortress, Stronghold and Place of Safety. Your strong arm is my defense and I take refuge in You when my enemies or hard times come destroy my life. You have prepared me for battle against evil by providing me with Your armor and instructions to stand my ground. You continually remind me that You and Your Word are my first line of defense. You were sent to show me the way to lead a righteous life … and through Your Word You have given me a map to follow … and, in the gift of the Holy Spirit, You’ve given me a guide to lead me through the rugged parts. As a result, I walk in confidence and peace. I know that in the midst of whatever trouble I find myself, You will dispatch Your love and grace to help me get through it. You are my ever-present guard in times of danger and You stand vigilant to rescue me for harm. In Your goodness, You have filled my life with provisions of every kind. Your desire has always been for me to share eternity with You and to have an abundant life now. I am blessed above all men and I rejoice in Your tender care. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
