How marvelous it is to be a part of Your creation. The very work of Your hands. I was miraculously formed in my mother’s womb for the purpose of loving, serving and knowing You. Before I ever knew You, You had a plan for my life. Your desire has always been to share everything with me. You love me so much that You gladly gave me life and a free will. You alone are my love and my reason for living!!
Everything in Your creation gives testimony to Your awesome power, creativity and loving kindness. When the sun shines brightly, I imagine You are happy and content with what I am doing. When clouds form and rain comes, I see Your tears being poured out for my sins and failures. But I also see them washing away the stains of my sins and refreshing me like the rain settles the dust and gives life to the parched earth. Each day I give You thanks for all that You’ve done for me and all of the talents You’ve placed within me. When night comes, I do not close my eyes until I’ve given You thanks. My heart and soul hunger and thirst for a greater knowledge of who You are. I know Your desire is to teach me the things that will make my pilgrimage on earth a worthwhile journey. How proud You must be when I master the concepts in Your Word and put them to work in my life.
You are my bridegroom and You want a loving relationship with me. Help me be faithful to You in all of my ways. Show me how put down my flesh in order to sustain our union. Under Your watchful eyes and protection, I feel safe and secure. In Your deep, abounding love, I feel cherished. In giving me a free will, You’ve shown me that You trust me to make good choices and do the right things. I will strive to never betray that trust.
Your Word tells me that You never slumber and Your eyes are always upon Your faithful. Therefore, I will walk uprightly before You and show kindness to Your people. I know that if I study Your Word it will perfect and transform my life. Your words are sure and able to accomplish whatever You send them to do. Your statutes are unerring and give me reason for hope. Your commandments shine light into my ignorance allowing me to make wise decisions and escape harm. I know that by obeying You I can reap great rewards. I implore You to help me speak words of life, act in love and think thoughts that are pure. In so doing, I will show my thanks for Your creating me. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
