Dear Lord and Master of My Life, I am elated in knowing that You achieved victory over death and attained newness of life. Because of what You accomplished, I too am the beneficiary of that same new life. From the grave, You rose triumphantly and now I am empowered to lift my life out of the mire and climb up to higher ground. You suffered to redeem me from the consequences of my sins and, as a sign of my appreciation, I will help others find their path to redemption. You endured Your trials to accomplish Your goal and so must I endure mine to achieve the goals You’ve set before me. The pain You endured for my sake assures me of Your love and motivates me to give You my all. There is nothing like Your love and I want to experience it all. To do that, I must cooperate with the Holy Spirit in bringing my life into conformity with Your will and renew my thinking by meditating on Your words.
I have made You My Lord because You have shown me, in the wondrous things You’ve done, that You are truly The Son of God. As a result, I want to sing praise to Your name all the day long. Through Your work on Calvary, my salvation has been assured and I must learn to walk in Your ways. You have become personal to me and I want our relationship to flourish. My desire is for Your light to shine into my darkness so that I can better understand You and Your ways. The presence of Your light fills me with joy and casts out all fear. As My Good Shepherd, I recognize Your voice and You hear mine when I call out to You in distress. Help me become a mirror reflecting Your love and care for those You’ve placed in my life. You are the gateway though which I must pass in order to reach the peace, fulfillment and purpose You have for my life. You are the potter and I am the clay … form me into an image of Yourself.
I have made a conscious decision to open my heart and mind to all that You have to say. I am ready to listen to Your instructions … obey Your commands … and, follow wherever You lead. Fill me with Your love and make me a vessel, fit for carrying it, to others who hunger and thirst for more of You. I rejoice in the life You’ve given to me that has set me free to experience Your best. I want to lead a life that demonstrates my appreciation for all the things You’ve done for me … are doing for me … and, will do for me. Because of You, my eternity is assured and my possibilities are unlimited. My life is filled with blessings and opportunities to become more than I ever dreamed. Call out my name, give me a mission and I will say “Here I am Lord.” All of this has been made possible by Your unselfish act of love and I want to emulate it in every way I can. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
