Who I Am In Christ

Praise and honor belong to You, Almighty King, for no longer am I limited to going through life wondering who I am and why I was placed here.  Through Your saving work, I am a new creation … given a status, a mission and a calling.  Your Word gives me glimpses of who I am through You as a result of my new start provided through Your “ultimate” sacrifice on Calvary.  As each day passes, I learn more about who I am and how to live out my new identity.

My greatest blessing lies in the fact that I’ve been given a new life … born of incorruptible seed … and, strengthened by my belief in You.  I now have a great power living within me that guides me in paths of righteousness.  In my newness of life I am able overcome sin and the difficulties that fill my life.  Evil no longer has a hold over me and my place is in the light … darkness is something I shun … and, the light of the Gospel shines brightly showing me the way I must go.  I’ve come to realize that I am no longer my own … rather a vessel of Yours filled with goodness and love.

In You, I am complete.  Old things have passed away and all things have become new.  I now possess a peace that passes my understanding and gives me rest when my life is in turmoil.  I can now do all things through You who strengthens me.  And, I am confident that I will never be asked to take on more than I can handle.  No longer am I a slave to the world because I have become a doer of Your Word.  I am the head and not the tail … I am on top and not at the bottom.  I rejoice in the fact that You’ve sent me forth to shine Your light into a world that is lost and suffers in darkness. In addition, You have given me a mind like Yours so I can make good choices that will allow me to live in prosperity and comfort.

I have come to realize that, as a son, I’ve become a joint heir with You.  And, I have been enabled to overcome the impossible through my faith in You.  I am now able to deal with the problems and issues that, in the past, have held me back.  Through Your empowerment and grace, I am able to help others become overcomers too.  I am thankful that You have called me to be an Ambassador … spreading the Good News of salvation, hope and prosperity.  I rejoice in the fact that I have been redeemed from the curse of sickness, sin and poverty.  My life is firmly rooted in You and I’m established in my faith.  I take pride in who I am in You and I’m full of  gratitude for all You have done for me.  And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!

II Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old is gone, the new has come!
