Because of Your work on Calvary, O God of Hope, I feel loved and I have an expectation of good filling my life. My faith in You causes me to be optimistic about the outcomes for my life and strengthens me to withstand the struggles and battles I face. As a result of my dependence on You, I look around, and I feel safe and secure. As You make known to me the path for my life, I am filled with courage and hope. Because of Your love, I am able to place my trust in You and have confidence that You will fulfill Your promises to me. When I have needs, I express them to You in prayer believing You will answer … and, as I wait, I have hope to sustain me. I am never disappointed in our relationship because You have proved Yourself to be faithful and have poured out Your love in a way that makes me feel cherished. A very important lesson that You’ve taught me is to … be content where I am … trust that through joyful anticipation, patience in affliction and faith-filled prayers … You will come through for me.
O Precious Prince of Peace, give me Your peace which prevails at all times and in every way. I am asking for the peace which transcends my human understanding and guards my mind and heart through Your love. I know that I will possess this prevailing peace when I spend time in fellowship with You and remain mindful of Your mercy and grace which You dispense into my life. Peace comes as I develop trust in the fact that You will meet my needs and uphold me in times of adversity and trials. As I turn from evil and do good, it becomes natural for me to seek Your peace and find it. As my mind becomes controlled by the Holy Spirit, I will increase in wisdom and experience more tranquility. It will become instinctive for me to put You at the center of my life … use Your Word to uncover real truth … and, put my life in step with Your will. Because I love and believe in You, I know You will fill me with a peace that the world does not understand … but I do.
O Wonderful Counselor, all wisdom resides with You and Your instructions are critical to my success. I take joy in obeying You and refusing to listen to those who mock You and try to discredit Your words. As I focus on You and Your ways, I will gain insights that help me make good decisions and live in the ways that You want. Because You are steady and unchanging, I listen to your counsel and trust the plan You have for my life. With You resides all wisdom, power, counsel and understanding. Blessed am I because I shun the counsel of the ungodly and walk in Your ways. Your counsel and sound judgment are gifts that give me understanding and the power to succeed. If I listen to Your advice and accept Your instructions, I will become wise. Many are the plans I have made for myself but, in the end, it is Your purposes that must take precedents. As my Hope, my Peace and my Counselor, You are more than enough and I place my life in your hands. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
