Hear my pleas, O Lord, and listen for my cries. Give an ear to my supplications for they come from deep within me. Forgive me for my errors and omissions because I want to live in right standing and harmony with You. Probe my heart and examine my motives. Validate my life and purge the things from me that are not pure. Create in me a tender and compassionate heart like Yours. My desire is to be separated from worldly ways and give myself fully to You. Sinning and evil must no longer be a part of my life. My goal is to dedicate myself to service and good works on Your behalf. Help me keep my feet on the “right path” and take hold of me so I do not slip and fall along the way.
I believe in You alone and I am relying on You to be a steadying influence in my life. Show me how to flow in the wonderfulness of Your mercy and grace. Be my strong right arm and deliver out of the struggles in my life. Save me from the weakness I’ve borne in my flesh since the day I was born and build a hedge of safety around me to protect me form the attacks of the Evil One. You alone have offered me a place of refuge and a safe hiding place. Come to me in my times of fear, doubt and worry to remind me of Your unquenchable love and assure me that everything will be alright. You have created me in Your image and invited me to be in a perpetual relationship with You. You are my Strong Rock and Steadying Hand in the storms of life when my bad choices come back to haunt me. I know that You do not want me to be overcome by evil … and, when trials come my way, You will provide a way for me to deal with them.
Remove from me the hardness and callousness of my heart. You know that it is easier for me to follow the desires of the flesh rather than accept the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Rise up, O Holy Spirit, and help me confront the evil that is in my life. Purge me of all unrighteousness and the things that hinder my walk. Redeem me and restore all that I have lost through poor judgment and outright mistakes. Help me forgive others the way that I hope to be forgiven by You and others to who I do harm. Show me how to turn the other cheek when I am hurt or offended by another. Draw me closer to You and teach me Your unconditional love so that I might be able to share it with others. Help me reap the blessings of a life dedicated self-sacrifice and deep caring for others. Having You as my everything makes possible the hope of a bounteous and prosperous future. And it’s in Jesus name I pray. AMEN!!
