My Majestic King, with humble reverence, through love and faith, demonstrating sorrow and true contrition in my heart, and a firm determination to follow in Your footsteps, I bow down in adoration before You. My greatest desire is to show You my gratitude for the many and continuing favors and blessings that You showered upon me … and still wish to give them to me. Many times I have cried out to You and You’ve responded each time with ways that soothed my soul and dealt effectively with my problems. I have complained and You have consoled. I have felt empty and You filled me with Your peace and joy. You have encouraged me in my darkest times and You have always been more than enough. You are the solid foundation upon which I have built my life and, as a result, I will not be shaken.
I am blessed to know that I am always welcomed by You. No matter how shabbily dressed I come, nor how unclean and scarred my life has become, nor how often I’ve taken off on my own to do my own thing, You come after me to return me to Your side. Whenever I feel alone, all I have to do is reach out to You and You will come to comfort me. With You by my side, fear and worry have no place in my life. I am confident that any weapon used by my enemies to bring me harm will never hurt me because You will crush them with Your might. Whenever I have a need … I know that You will supply. I am not always sure of which race You want me to run, but I am sure that if I get out on the track and warm up … You will let me know what it is. Since You have come among Your people, we live in the light and have been shown a path to follow.
I am so glad that You came down to be among us and show us a better way. I know that I now have a leader … who has established my expectations … and will help me grow in knowledge and service. Without Your presence, I would be like a ship without a rudder … a man without a country … and, a life with no purpose. My life is often demanding and cruel, but You have come to show me how to live in peace and promote love. In Your coming, You’ve provided me with a salvation I could not earn, with a joy that is indescribable, a hope I never thought I could experience and a purpose I did not foresee. Because You have come among us, I will never be the same. Your love strengthens me … Your light shows me the way to go … and, Your commitment insures me I will be an overcomer in whatever trials I face. It is comforting to have You among us. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
