Your Gifts Made Manifest

All praise and honor be given to You, O Creator of All Things and Giver of Life.  For You have blessed me, through Your love, will all manner of gifts to fill and lift my life.  You have given me hope so that in the middle of my struggles, concerns and needs, I can continue to move my life forward and maintain a positive attitude.  You have made me hopeful in the midst of heartache and disappointment.  You’ve provided me with the strength and tenderness to see beyond my hurts and needs to meet those of others.  You have calmed my soul in the midst of chaos and given me a place of rest.  You’ve cleared my mind when it was filled with confusion and doubt.  You have kept me humble whenever I start to think more highly of myself than I should.  And, You’ve encouraged me to strive for holiness when confronted by my weaknesses.  You have allowed me to understand that, in whatever situation I find myself, You have provided me with a way to deal with it.

I praise and thank You, My Lord, because You have given me answers for dealing with my problems and the where with all to handle them.  I am always pleased with whatever manner You choose to communicate with me … in beautiful thoughts that I recognize are not my own … the wise advice and counsel of others … or in the powerful, revealing words of the Scriptures.  You have come to me in times when I did not feel lovable and wrapped me in Your warm and tender arms.  You’ve given me courage when fear swept in to overwhelm me. You have lifted me up with joy and enthusiasm when I’ve been stricken with sadness and depression.  You’ve provided me with hope when I’ve been tempted to give up.  You have healed my mental and physical ailments when I am sick.  You’ve forgiven my offenses when I became angry and filled my heart with resentment.  I need Your help in making right choices and I covet Your compassion and forgiveness when I fail You or others.

Blessed are You, O God of Courage, who calms all my fears and gives me confidence and boldness.  You’ve help me turn the other cheek and given me courage to speak out on Your behalf.  You have made me wise and patient in dealing with issues in my life.  You’ve shown me that being different is okay and that the only One to whom I must conform is You.  Give me the courage to reach out to those who are lost and suffer in desperation so that they too might share in Your gift of eternal happiness.  Keep me calm and steadfast when confronted with rejection and honest when confronted by deception. I want to learn how to experience Your peace in the middle of turmoil and remain silent when faced with criticism.  When Your gifts are made manifest, I am able to persevere in love and righteousness.  And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray.  AMEN!!

Matthew 7:11 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in Heaven give good gifts to those who ask?
