Your Many Benefits

I praise You, My Lord, with every bit of rejoicing that is within me.  As I face each new day, I strive to keep in mind Your many benefits … Your forgiveness of my transgressions … Your healing power … Your redemption of my life from sure destruction … Your grace which abounds toward me on every front … the many good things which You give to fill my life … Your constant presence and aid … Your strength which upholds me up when I am weak.  You have poured out Your Spirit upon me and given me a pathway to Your wisdom.  I know that as I learn to trust You and do good, You will bless me above measure.  You are teaching me how to live in times of distress and times of abounding joy.  Everywhere and in all things, I am becoming content knowing that You will meet my every need.  I have learned to believe that all things are possible and nothing will be withheld from me if You are the center of them.

Beginning in the morning, I seek You.  I long for Your tenderness and search for You throughout my day.  I want to experience Your loving kindness and tender mercies.  My praise is continually offered in honor of Your holiness.  I believe that as long as I strive to live in accordance with Your will, I will be a benefactor of Your blessings.  It is You who causes my life to be filled with plenty and have made me satisfied with what I have.  When I stop to reflect on the many wondrous things You’ve done in my life, I want to shout out “I am blessed above all men.”  You satisfy the longing of my heart and fill me with Your love.  You are My Salvation in whom I trust and believe.  Fear is no longer a companion because I am covered by Your power and might.  You have delivered me from the power of sin and the jaws of eternal death.

When I am thirsty, I go to the well of Your refreshing; when I am hungry, I go to the Bread of Life; when I have needs, I go to the God of abundance; when I am sick, I go to the God of healing; when I feel empty, I go to You to be filled; when I am feeling sad, I seek Your joy; when I am tired and burdened, I seek Your rest; when I feel vulnerable, I seek the protection of Your arms.  You alone are the strong foundation upon who I can build my life.  I am an active and living part of Your church because You have brought me to it for fellowship and nurturing.  I am so thankful for those You’ve brought into my life to love me, encourage me and bear my burdens with me.  In return, You have given me so much that it spills over to others.   These are just some of the things that prove to me that You are my source of many benefits.  And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray.  AMEN!!
