Savior of the World, You are amazing and awesome and I find it hard to come up with words that adequately describe my feelings for You. This I do know … once I was lost and You gave Yourself as the price to save me. Your grace and mercy have been constant companions throughout my life. Many times, I did not see them or acknowledge them until I looked back with amazement to see what had been done to cushion me from a very hard fall or protect me. It was the actions of Your grace that taught me how gracious and loving You are. Your mercy showed me the tenderness of Your heart and I had no reason to fear You. I am comforted by Your words which assure me that good will fill my life and I will always have the hope of a better tomorrow. I count on You being my shield deflecting the arrows of sorrow, depression, and defeat that my enemy hurls at me to make me feel all hope is lost.
Though I have encountered my fair share of grief, confusion, and troubles, it is You who brought me through them all. I know that Your love and wisdom will guide me through this life until You call me home. No matter how long You allow me to live on this earth, I promise to be faithful and live for You each day. I am surely a man with many flaws, but with Your continued help I know I can become more like You. Times change and people change, that’s how I know You will help me live my life to the fullest and receive a bounty of my efforts. Even though the Evil One may try to trick or entice me, I am comforted in knowing that in Your strength I can overcome them all. I have come to rely on Your watchful eyes to keep me from succumbing to the evil that surrounds me. You are my faithful sword and shield who defends me.
You are the Bread of Life who came so that my spirit would hunger no more. Because of You, my thirst for righteousness has been satisfied. You have called me to a higher plane, and I have been given a race to run. Show me how to train and prepare for the race You have given to me to run. Through Your resurrection, You have shown me that there is life after death and what is waiting for me is better than anything I could imagine. You are the crown upon my head which makes me a king’s kid. You have asked me to become a shining light exposing Your love and compassion to the world. Your goodness is beyond description, but I feel it every day of my life. When I contemplate all the good You have placed into my life, I realize how blessed I am. Considering all the wondrous things You have done for me; I can’t help but think how amazing You are!! And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
