O God of Creation, the heavens declare Your majesty and the sky proclaims the work of Your hands. Day after day and night after night Your constancy is declared. There are no words descriptive enough to explain who You are and all that You have done. Your creation alone proclaims Your awesomeness and mighty power. The sun provided light that is only matched by the light You use to guide me. You came to visit Your creation to make a permanent bond between the created and the Creator. Your words enliven my soul and gives me hope of better times ahead. Your promises are constant and never change. Your precepts are righteous and trustworthy. Your commands reveal Your wisdom and enlighten my understanding. My love for You is pure and will last forever. The things You share with me are sure and can be counted upon. You are more valuable than any riches I could ever accumulate.
By listening and doing what You say, I am assured of an unending stream of blessings. You alone can discern the purity of my heart … separating what is good from what is evil. You alone know my sins and are the only one who can forgive them when I repent. Help me resist the power of sin so that it does not rule my life. Only in Your goodness can I stand blameless and innocent. I pray that You put a hedge around my thoughts so that everything I think, everything I do and everything I say will be pleasing to You. As You reveal more of Yourself to me whenever we meet, I am learning more about Your power, way of thinking and acting, and my smallness. Two of the most awesome things You have shared with me are Your gracious power to forgive and the gift of my salvation. Everything I see from majestic mountains … to boundless seas … to a tiny baby being born gives me testimony of who You are.
I want to thank You for the revelation of Your magnificence and beauty. You reveal more of Yourself and Your truths in every encounter we share. Help me get past my reservation about sharing Your message of salvation with everyone I meet. I must be willing to share the gift You gave to me with others … otherwise, what lasting value do I have? Help me explain Your love, mercy, and grace to those who are blinded to the truth and live in darkness. Many are afraid of what You will expect of them and how they must live. However, a relationship with You revives us, supplies joy to our heart, provides light to guide us, warns us of impending danger and fills our lives with goodness. You are my light who guides me into wise decisions and keeps me from stumbling over missteps. Thank You for freeing me from the bondage of sin and allowing me to learn more about You. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
