I love You, O Lord, my strength. You alone are my Rock, my Fortress, and my Deliverer. In You alone do I find refuge from the stresses in my life. You are my Shield who I can count on to deflect the fiery darts of my enemy’s attacks. I give praise to You because You keep me from harm. The shackles of sin and the waves of destruction are sent to overwhelm me but, in my distress, I cry out to You for help and You come quickly to my rescue. Though the land tremble with fear and the sky cries out in anger, I will cling to my believe in You. Out of the clouds of darkness You bring forth a rainbow of hope and rays of joy. I am thankful that when I am weak Your strength can be manifested. Through Your might, I have been delivered from trials and oppression. You have shown me how to stand against the things that try to overwhelm me and You’ve provided me with the strength and wisdom to overcome them.
Whenever I am in distress, You deliver me from the forces that seek to do me harm. When I am confronted by evil and face disaster, You provide me with the support that I need. You deliver me from my troubles because You delight in my belonging to You. You deal fairly with me when I act uprightly and obey Your commands. As I walk in Your ways, I know I can count on You to walk with me. To be faithful, You have shown Yourself to be faithful … to be true, You have shown Yourself to be genuine … when I flee from the darkness, You have shown Yourself to be light. Because of Your desire to protect me, You allow me to take refuge behind Your shield. As Peter once said, “if I cannot run to You, to whom can I run?” I say AMEN to that because it is to Your arms I run to when I face circumstances that seek to overwhelm me.
I rejoice in the fact that You arm me for battle with Your strength. My enemies turn their backs and flee when they see that You are on my side. I delight in the fact that You have delivered me from all my foes. When they see You responding to my cries, they flee in terror. You are the One who I can depend on for ample doses of mercy and grace. Any circumstance that I face can never be larger than You. You are my protector from those who wish to do me harm. You are my God who delivers me from evil and upholds me with Your strong, right arm. With Your unfailing love, You cover me with compassion, kindness and power. Knowing that You stand with me gives me confidence and the ability to stand against the storms of adversity. I am counting on Your strength, protection, and guidance to lead me to each victory. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
