Most Sovereign Lord, how marvelous and how welcoming You are. You are the God of power and might who extends a helping hand to me when obstacles block my path. You are the God of mercy and truth whose greatest desire is for me to become the best I can be. You are the God of abounding love and encouragement who lifts me up when depressing thoughts and my weakened faith are pulling me down. As only You can, You fill my emptiness with hope and joy. Every good and perfect gift in my life comes from You because You are the source of all goodness. It is incumbent on me to proclaim Your name and declare the awesome deeds for those of us who have come to know You and experienced Your unconditional love. You are the only one with the power to cleanse me from my sins and make a way for me to attain my eternal destiny. You have the elixir that heals my many wounds.
It is Your light that shines into the darkness and shows me a way forward. I am weak and in need of Your strength and power so I can run my race in accordance with Your plan. Help me, as I seek to walk uprightly, and come to my aid when Satan and sin come to pull me down. I ask myself … “when I am truly in need, who can I call upon?” My answer is always You because You have shown Yourself to be faithful and caring. When I lose my way, take my hand and guide me back to Yourself. You are the way that Your Father has provided to bring me to Him. You are the truth, sent from Heaven, to guide me home. You are the source of life that, if I am separated from You, I cannot grow. No matter what difficulties I encounter, I am confident You will be by my side through them all. I believe that You have placed a hedge around me to protect me from evil and those who would do me harm.
I am so thankful that You watch over me every day. Nothing diverts or deters Your attentiveness. I’m always safe under You watchful eyes. I will never outgrow my need for Your untiring watch over my life. Help me remain vigilant for false teachings and misleading “facts” meant to distract me. I must dedicate time each day to reflecting on the truths contained in Your words so that I build my life on a sound foundation. Your Word, inspired by the Holy Spirit, is trustworthy and should be adhered to. By applying it to my life, my hope is that I will become more like You. In adopting Your teachings, I will be equipped to do good as I follow Your lead. There is nothing more powerful than to know the power of Your love. And nothing can bring me more peace than to know You are standing with me. Without a doubt You are the one who adds meaning to my life. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
