Most Loving God, how awesome are the deeds You have performed on my behalf. So great has been Your display of power over the things in my life that I gladly bow down in honor to You. With Your strength You preserve me from evil and with Your light You show me a better way. With Your help, I’ve been able to overcome my problems. From deep within me comes a desire to proclaim the goodness that comes from Your involvement in my life. I want to be a positive reflection of the many good things You are willing to do on behalf of Your people. As a believer, I acknowledge Your presence in my life and the potential You offer to bless the lives of all of Your people. Through Your love and devotion, I have the assurance that You will listen to my prayers, lend a helping hand when I need it, encourage me when my spirit is low and take care of the needs I have.
You have shown me that if I believe and trust in You with my faith, even if it’s as small as a mustard seed, I will be able to cast the mountains in my life into a sea of victories. Your words tell me that no matter how big the obstacles I face, You will make overcoming them possible. What I need to realize is that by faith … You … and what I believe are critical to my future successes. When I face problems that seem huge and immovable, I need to turn my attention away from the problem and onto You. In so doing, I will be buffered from the fear of not being able to accomplish my task. If I hope to grow in faith, I must learn to endure suffering with patience and allow You to infuse me with the wisdom and strength I need to persevere and overcome. I am confident that I will come under Your protection when I listen to Your words and obey it.
It is easy to succumb to fear when I see the evil going on in the world and the obstacles that I face. Evil and circumstances are strong … but, You are stronger. I believe that You will help me overcome my problems when I seek Your power and calming influence through the Holy Spirit and Your Word. I have Your assurance that when I give up something of value for Your sake, You will give me blessings and favor in return. As a compliant servant, I must also have a compelling desire to serve others. Since I am a child of Yours, I possess the same powers You did when You were on the earth … otherwise, why would You have said that not only will I do the things You did but even greater ones? I know that nothing is too big for You to handle and I am able to draw on Your power for help. That is why I have the assurance that You are big enough for anything I face. And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN!!
