Your Ever-Present Love

My Triumphant Warrior, there are many things in my life that come to test my faith and endurance.  They seem to come one after another.  But, through them all, my strength and ability to withstand them come from knowing that You are in control.  I am confident that You will never forget me or leave me helpless.  This is really all I need to know in order to push through whatever adversity I face.  You have reminded me in Your Word that, even though I am a Christian, I will have to face up to and persevere through trouble and tribulation.  You encourage me to take heart and endure my struggles the same way that You did Yours and I will be victorious too.  You ask me to be courageous in spite of the size of my obstacle because You will be there to help me.  I must remain confident that, in the same way You are with me in the good times, You will not abandon me in the bad times.

Through my confidence in You, I know that You will turn my biggest disaster into something good.  To become an overcomer, I must learn to rejoice in my suffering so that through it I can develop perseverance and find hope.  And, once I take hold of hope, I’ll be able to shake the feelings of depression and defeat that have attached themselves to me.  Through Your love, the Holy Spirit begins to comfort me so I can manage my heartache and sorrow.  If my relationship with You has been built upon faith in You, I should begin to realize that I have been delivered no matter what my circumstances say.  I must trust Your promise that tells me that “nothing” can separate me from Your love … not troubles, hardships, tribulations or threats.  Rather than accept defeat, I should see myself as an overcomer through Your awesome love and power.

I must recognize my trials and troubles for what they are … attempts to separate me from my anchor.  Through Your faithfulness, You want me to feel totally secure in Your love no matter what I am going through.  If I maintain a focus on Your promise to stand with me, I should never become fearful.  Your guidance in facing my troubles reminds me to remain joyful through hope, patient in tribulation and faithful in prayer.  I must turn to You in my times of deepest trouble and allow You to comfort me so that I can comfort others in the same way.  In the long haul, Your kindness will produce the patience and endurance I need to survive my ordeal.  Through Your ever present love, I know that I will receive the strength, encouragement and hope I need to deal with my obstacles and keep me from becoming overwhelmed.  And it’s in Jesus’ name I pray.  AMEN!!

Jeremiah 31:3 I have loved you with and everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving kindness.
